New sofa modification for extra storage

Here is a quick modification that I did to Penelope today so that we could have a space where the kids could keep toys.  They will each get a bin under the sofa that will contain their own special stuff.  This really is an easy modification to do to any motor home.  It took me about 20 minutes to complete and gave us approximately 6' x 3' deep of extra space to store things.  It was accomplished using some leftover 1x material and 2 regular door hinges, 8 wood screws and 6 multimate screws to get into metal.  I had to have an extra set of hands when it came to the final attaching.

Here are some photos of Penelope London:  We have already done some modifications that I will post up shortly.  The coach is a 2005 Travel Supreme Select 45DS04.

Hello family, friends, and future friends!

Thank you for taking the time to read our blog and follow our family adventure.  We are the Aughinbaugh family.  A large, sometimes loud, and adventurous family looking to discover and see all that is at our fingertips in this beautiful creation.  We are currently preparing to leave for a one year RV odyssey of greatness! We are all very excited and looking forward to spending intentional time together, teaching and training our children in the ways of the Lord, exploring our adventurous innate desires, seeing all there is to our country and making great memories along the way.  This is our family!

My name is Tim.  I will be doing most of the authoring of this blog.  AS well my duties include: driving, route planning, campsite planning, vehicle maintenance, argument settler, and most of all leader and example of Godliness to the family.  My beautiful bride is Rory.  She is the planner, administrator, teacher of homeschooling, wonderful chef, argument settler, servant and the greatest wife and mother in the world.  She holds me up in encouragement and is a great servant to our children.  My children are Allison (9), Ethan (7), Owen (5), and little princess Sophia (3).

As we countdown the days until our adventure begins we are getting our awesome motor-home ready to go and roll out.  Her name is Penelope London! Here she is..

Some of the blogs to follow will include our upgrades and videos of the coach.  We are happy to be blessed with her and know that she will give us 12 months of maintenance free breakdowns or problems! (Won't you Penelope London, please!)

Please continue to follow our adventure and our updates.
